Learning Opportunity Descriptions

  • Private tutoring sessions
      Private tutoring allows students to receive one-on-one instruction related to coding and technology skills. Tutoring allows students to master complex concepts in a shorter period as well as to advance their overall technology skill set. Students will be paired with an instructor after a brief discovery conversation to ensure that the skill sets and interests of the student are well understood. Tutoring sessions are scheduled in one-hour increments at mutually agreeable times and are sold in packages of four hours. No prior coding knowledge is needed. Ages 8 - 18

  • Adventures in Coding
      The Adventures in Coding class brings technology skills to life. Students will learn basic computer programming, game design, internet safety, and electronic invention throughout the three sessions. Also, students will build computer games in a safe, collaborative and high energy environment. Each day there will be a mid-class break and snack where the tech savvy and motivating Codelicious instructors will interact and continue to reinforce collaboration and confidence through small group discussions. Ages 8 - 12


  • Codexplorers
      The CodeExplorers course brings technology skills to life. By learning to program, students will build computer games in a safe, collaborative and high-energy environment. This course will develop proficiency in programming skills with Scratch, a curiosity for electronic invention with Little Bits, and an understanding of internet safety. By the end of the course, students will have built multiple interactive games. Ages 8 - 12

  • CodeWizards
      In the CodeWizards course, we dive deeper into programming by introducing JavaScript, CSS, and HTML. We will continue developing a curiosity for electronic invention with littleBits, and an understanding of internet safety. By the end of this course, students will have learned the basics of JavaScript, CSS & HTML coding languages and will have honed their skills by building interactive websites. Previous exposure to coding basics or completion of the CodeExplorers class is required to register for this course. Ages 8 - 12

  • CodeChallengers
      CodeChallengers empowers students to take their JavaScript, HTML/CSS skills to the next level. Students will hone their skills and work with advanced programming concepts by exploring code through game/web design. By the end of this course, students will be able to create a variety of web-based games and will have acquired an advanced programming concepts that they can apply to any field in computing. Previous exposure to coding basics or completion of the CodeWizards class is required to register for this course. Ages 8 - 12

  • Teen Coders - Lab Time
      Lab Time is an environment where you can enhance your coding skills with knowledgeable resources on hand to help trouble shoot and provide guidance in tackling your coding challenges.Collaborate with peers to complete fun coding challenges, work on your projects, andhang out with like-minded peers! All sessions will have a minimum of two Codelicious instructors on hand for questions and support. Lab Time sessions are available in four hour packages which can be redeemed in blocks of one hour or more. Ages 13 - 18

  • Teen Coders - Exploring Javascript
      In the Exploring JavaScript class, students will learn basic JavaScript, HTML, and CSS programming skills. They will also receive exposure to electronic invention and technology trends. Each class is conducted by tech savvy and motivating Codelicious instructors who encourage collaboration and coding confidence through individual and small group discussions. No prior coding knowledge is needed for this course; however, basic internet navigation skills are assumed in the class curriculum. Ages 13 - 18

  • Teen Coders - Fundamentals of Digital Design
      Creative and artistic teens will love this graphic design focused course. Students will gain experience within the Adobe Creative Suite, including programs often used by professionals such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. Teens will collaborate, communicate, and translate words into images throughout the course. Participants will learn the principals of design, practice their skills, and build their own graphic design portfolio. No prior coding knowledge is needed for this course; however, basic internet navigation skills are assumed in the class curriculum. Ages 13 - 18

  • Teen Coders: Intro to JavaScript
      In the Intro To JavaScript course, we dive into programming by introducing JavaScript, CSS, and HTML. We also integrate electronic invention with projects and discussions focused on the latest trends in technology. By the end of this course, students will have learned the basics of JavaScript and will have honed their skills by building an interactive website.  No prior coding knowledge is needed for this course; however, basic internet navigation skills are assumed in the class curriculum. Ages 13 - 18
